The electric car that is manufactured in three days with 3D printers

The electric car that is manufactured in three days with 3D printers

YOYO is not new. What's more, our team has already been able to drive it and enjoy its fun aesthetics and ease of use: being small, it allows you to drive around the city reducing parking problems and its electric motor reduces gasoline costs. According to its manufacturers, it can travel about 100 kilometers for a cost of just 2 euros.

However, after the brand's presentation at the Paris Motor Show a few days ago, the novelty for next year is that it will be the first electric car manufactured entirely with 3D printers. The YOYO Model Year 2023, an improved version of the YOYO, is produced by the manufacturer XEV and it is estimated that the manufacturing period will be reduced to three business days thanks to the implementation of 3D printing techniques.

As it was known in Paris, this new YOYO model is still 100% electric, but improves its ergonomics. It is a two-seater vehicle designed for urban environments and prioritizing energy efficiency. Its battery is the protagonist in the design of the car and allows the exchange of generators. This means that when a battery runs out, it can be replaced on the spot by another to continue driving without having to stop to recharge.

It has, at a technical level, an intelligent battery management system that monitors and displays its status in real time. Another improvement is related to the safety and energy efficiency of the battery changer, even in extreme weather conditions up to 45 degrees.
